The price tag on La Voiture Noire is $12,125,850 (€11,000,000), and it was developed to celebrate Bugatti’s 110th anniversary.
Interestingly enough, the huge price has not discouraged potential buyers, with one having already been sold a huge “Bugatti enthusiast,” according to a press release.
This is by far the most expensive car ever developed.
“The Bugatti enthusiast is besotted with the Atlantic; and now with La Voiture Noire, he has certainly acquired a car that lives up to the legend and extends it into the 21st Century.”
The 16-cylinder engine car has an exhaust system with a total of six tailpipes.
“No other car has ever been built with this size engine. It is not only the most powerful automobile engine, but it is also a beautiful sight to see,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Bugatti President. The car is described as a contemporary interpretation of the iconic Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, which was designed by founder Ettore Bugatti’s son, Jean.
